My Adventures – The Grand Canyon in all its glory!!

In 2002, Mr Wonderful and I went to the CES electronics convention in Las Vegas, Nevada.

We went a few days early so we could hop over to the Grand Canyon.

Now that we have digital cameras, we would love to go back. I can only imagine the thousands of photographs we would take.

Words don’t do it justice, so enjoy the video!

Bob Hope even makes an appearance.

It’s a little bit long, but well worth the time.

We love to travel in the off seasons ~ less traffic and less people.

We felt like we had the place to ourselves.

We would put on everything we had and be out to the cliffs before sunrise every morning.

Do you have a favorite place you have been to or dream of visiting?

  1. Visiting the Grand Canyon is on my bucket list. My husband has been, and we’re hoping to make it out to L.A. sometime in the near future. Thanks for sharing your experience! The favourite place that I’ve been so far was Jamaica, and I’d really like to see Venice, and Ireland one day. Happy Friday!

    • It is way past awesome and if I ever get that way again, I will revisit it. I have been to Jamaica too. I love the whole Caribbean and anywhere around it is on my visiting list. My mother has been to Ireland and she told me I would love it. I have never been overseas. It seems I’m always going to the sun, surf and sand. LOL Venice would be really cool too. I have been to Venice in Vegas. Does that count? LOL Have a super weekend, Carmel.

  2. I’ve never been to the Grand Canyon, but watching your video makes me want to go! It’s an amazing video. Thanks for sharing! Although, riding donkeys so close to the cliff edge would make me very nervous, especially with the slippery snow! I like the idea of going in the off season though. I hate all the crowds too.
I have always wanted to go to Hawaii. I’ve never been, but it’s on my bucket list!

    • Those donkeys scared the **** out of me. LOL Hawaii is a world of its own. It’s like the Cape and our white sandy beaches here in Florida ~ You know where you are. It cannot be duplicated. Keep writing and your books may take you there, or maybe a surprise second honeymoon from Hubby? Ya just never know what tomorrow brings. Have a fantastic weekend, Taylor.

  3. I remember when ya’ll took me to the canyons in New York and called them the mini grand canyon! I can only imagine how awe inspiring this was. Remember when we looked down and couldn’t see the bottom? Such a beautiful day!

    • It is Letchworth State Park and it is called the Grand Canyon of the East. It was a beautiful day. So much fun cruising around and showing you the sights. I am so glad you were able to visit our cute home, that we loved, and check out Rochester and the surrounding area, before we moved back south. Letchworth is an awesome place with majestic views that will rival anything the US has to offer. Thank goodness for photos and video, because words cannot describe the beauty!
