Sherry’s Shelves #175 – I Love Books & Football #Books #Football

.

Sherry’s Shelves #175 is my weekly update from November 4 – November 10, 2018.

Happy Sunday everyone. Well, another week has flown by and I don’t know where the time goes. It was down in the low forties when I checked the temp this morning, but the sun is shining and football is on. All is right with the world. The shed is coming along nicely. The only problem we have is getting the shingles done. Neither one of us needs to be up there on the roof, but we haven’t found someone to help us out. We have almost half of it done. Guess no one wants to make some extra money.

The University of Michigan is in the top four!!!!!!!!! It would be wild if we stayed there for the playoffs. That would mean it would be Michigan against Alabama, seeing number one plays against number four. OH NO…that may mean a road trip. LOL

  1. Happy Sunday! Go blue!!! Ha ha it’s cooled WAY off here lol- we have a tad bit of snow on the ground.

    Dragon’s Dawn looks fun. 🙂

  2. Owww, I’m so excited for Michigan. I started following college and highschool basketball in the last few years after some of our Minnesota highschools got admitted into Duke and then recruited to the Timberwolves. The T-Wolves really need some awesome players from their own state.

  3. It’s always exciting to see your team doing so well. A road trip is hardcore. I think I have only done that for a concert, and a play once, because my daughter begged. Amazon gift cards are my favorite thing to win, because they allow me to break my book buying ban.

  4. Oh my goodness! When I consider your temperatures only a handful of weeks away – that is a real plunge! Is that normal? Best of luck with the rest of the roof and football:)

  5. Bummer on not being able to find someone to help with the roof. Awesome it’s almost done, though 🙂

Have you tried NextDoor? It’s a neighborhood app and has been very handy for me. If you have a page for your neighborhood you might be able to find someone on there.

  6. The weather here has been rainy and cold all week 40F/5C but it finally broke yesterday with some sun and quite a bit warmer temps, more like fall now.
The app I’ve used for finding folks to clean the gutters is Thumbtack.

I grew up in Iowa, so a big Iowa Hawkeyes fan, then went to graduate school at U of MN. I’m out of touch now but I remember Big 10 football! Enjoy!

My longest road trips were to Los Angeles, CA, Galveston Island, TX and Hawkesbury, Canada to see Charlie Hunnam! I did all 3 on a Harley, by myself from MN. Enjoy your road trip!

I’ve enjoyed this week reading lots of holiday / winter books for HoHoHoRAT but I’m ready to move on from holiday romances. Anne – Books of My Heart
