Sherry’s Shelves 5.14 – 5.20

Hi Everyone. Hope you are all doing well. It has been a quiet week, with Mr Wonderful working the Pensacola Blue Wahoos home stand. We went out for free Frickles at Hooters, but they had so few workers that even though they were pretty empty, there was a fifteen minute wait time. Fuck that. Too bad. I love the view on the patio. Sooo, we hopped on over to Red Fish Blue Fish. A different view in the same vicinity. Had a couple of cocktails. There wasn’t a lot of customers, but the waitress forgot about us, sooooo, we stopped at Skye Pizza on the way home. Eric got a meatza pizza and I got a calzone. Another bomb for me. I love their calzones, but mine was burnt. 🙁 I don’t go out much and even though I had three bad experiences in one day, I still enjoyed my time at the beach and being out and about.

You can see more of Mr Wonderful’s YouTube videos on Fundimonium.

Watching the PGA Championship. Mr Wonderful and I used to live in Pittsford/Rochester, New York and worked the Championship one year. We got out early for practice in the 85th PGA Championship. Didn’t get many autographs. The players were pretty focused. We saw Freddie Couples and hung out, hoping to get an autograph, but security shooed us away. THEN, I got my sights set on Tiger Woods. I love the pics I got of him and the foggy course.

I have been a huge Freddie Couples fan forever. I got this close (so close I could almost reach out and touch him) and security chased me away.
Do ya see Tiger in the distance?

We love practice rounds, because we haul every camera we own to take photographs.
We got our signed poster.
A lot of reflection, but because of its location, it’s the best I can do on the fly.

We have our next appointment for the Covid booster scheduled for Monday. Two of our friends are out of town. Her mother is in hospice…and they both came down with Covid. He’s having a rougher time of it than his wife. Best it happened now, than in the beginning. We are all older and have some kind of health issue that puts us at risk.

Stay safe.

Sherry’s Shelves #121 – The Masters Week

Sherry’s Shelves #113 is my weekly update from April 2 – April 8, 2017.

Sunday Post #201 Countdown to Spring..

Stacking The Shelves {200}

~~~
Hello fellow bloggers.
I don’t know about you, but my week has been about The Masters Golf Tournament and working outside in this gorgeous weather we are now having.
Mr Wonderful and I play golf whenever we get the chance and we always play The Masters lottery. We were fortunate to win tickets to the 2006 Masters for Sunday, but we sold them for tickets to the Par 3 contest and the balance payed for our trip from Rochester, New York to Augusta, Georgia. Ya can’t beat that.
I want to start off with my favorite player…Freddie Couples. He is making an appearance and in the running at 57 years old…and he still looks fabulous to me.
I am sad to say one of the players I followed for years made an appearance, but did not play. I believe Tiger Woods could have been the best player of all time, but golf takes its toll on the human body and the players can play a heavy price.
After The Master’s Tournament, there will be a three part series about one of the most famous players in the game of golf, Jack Nicklaus. It was great to see him and Gary Player tee up to open the tournament this year and Arnold Palmer will be sadly missed.
There is one hole…I can’t remember what number it is, where the players line up and try to skim their balls across the pond.
I love the Par 3 Tournament, because the players are relaxed and happy to play to the crowd.
Unfortunately, the weather did not help the azaleas this year, but in 2006  they were out in all their glory.
Hope you have a wonderful week!
