Sherry’s Shelves #182 – #Books #Weather

.

Sherry’s Shelves #182 is my weekly update from 1.27.19 – 2.2.19.

~~~
Hi Everyone. Hope you had a great week and managed to stay warm as this brutally cold weather attacks us, acting as if it is alive. The weather report for the Florida Panhandle is cloudy, cool with chances of rain throughout the weekend. DRAT. I am looking at the pool. It is now filled with leaves from the hated oak trees. I swear they shed year round. At least the wind has died down, so maybe I can get it cleaned up in between rain showers. After all, March is just around the corner and I am in it…REGARDLESS of how cold it will be. It’s my springtime ritual and I am thinking warm and sunny thoughts. How about you? What do you look forward to in the springtime? I saw a robin last weekend. Even for the south it is a bit early. Do you have anything planned for this weekend?
  1. My routine is pretty much the same all year round…sit inside, blog, read, watch TV! I have a hatred for insects so every time I go outside with a book, they target me within minutes and I flee back inside! I wish I had an indoor swimming pool I could use all year!
  2. Glad you have a pool to jump in. In the spring time, I look forward to getting out the stroller and walking around with the little one. I also look forward to Cinco de Mayos.
  3. We had a pool until the end of this summer when we finally took it down, so I can certainly relate to leaves in it! We live in Illinois, so we have to winterize and everything. It’s a big pain! (But I loved our pool when the kids were younger.)
    • I never wanted one when I lived up north. It wouldn’t have been worth all the work, because the season is so short.
  5. We went cold and soon to be rainy again here, too. Ahhh! Cold rain is not my friend. Good luck with that chilly pool! I am way too big of a wuss for that. lol
