Do you Believe in Second Chances – Mystic Falls by Vickie McKeehann @vickiemckeehan

.

Vickie McKeehan’s Just Evil, Book I of the Evil Secrets Trilogy, was my very first review on my blog. I fell in love with her writing at that time, and it doesn’t matter what genre, dark thrillers, cozy mysteries, or romance, I will grab each and every book that comes my way.

Vickie McKeehan offered me a copy of Mystic Falls and Shadow Canyon, of A Coyote Wells Mystery series, for review. OH YEAH! I responded as soon as I read the email. It was funny in a bad way, but it took weeks for the package to get here. Where it was hanging out, I don’t know, but I was mighty impatient. 🙂

MY REVIEW

Gemma’s grandmother died and left her the chocolate shop, so she’s back in Coyote Wells.

Landon, her ex, is now the police chief.

A small town, a missing woman…

Gemma feels Landon is not doing enough and is drawn into the investigation. She searches for answers at Mystic Falls, on the edge of the reservation, a special place her grandmother had shown her. She finds her destiny….and HOME. She had no idea her grandmother was psychic, but it made her feel better knowing..

I love a good cozy with fun characters, romance and denial, danger and murder, and a dash of the paranormal of the psychic kind. And I do like when I don’t have a clue who the villain is, just a lot of questions.

Mystic Falls is a story about broken hearts, lost love, second chances, and friendships, old and new. It is small town life at its finest. I quickly grew to love the characters and worry for their safety and happiness.

I can see this series is going to deal with each Native American spirit that will be helping Gemma develop her psychic abilities. I love the mix, paranormal, Native American mysticism, romance, and mystery.

Vickie McKeehan can pen a great story and I am looking froward to reading more about my new group of friends…in Shadow Canyon, Book II of A Coyote Wells Mystery series. The books stand alone.

I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Mystic Falls by Vickie McKeehan.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Vickie McKeehan   Vickie is the author of six novels, including The Evil Trilogy and the Pelican Pointe series. She’s a hardcore lover of books who grew up listening to her mother tell fascinating stories about ghosts and other tales full of characters she wasn’t sure ever really existed.

A self-proclaimed beachgoer and ocean-lover, she lives in Southern California with the love of her life. When she isn’t working on her next manuscript or screenplay, she loves to be outdoors.

In her spare time she tries to grow things which other people commonly refer to as gardening. She loves reading all kinds of books, both fiction and non-fiction, loves to play video games, and enjoys watching football with the hubby. If you’ve ever read any of her books, you know she’s a die-hard Raider fan, which means she has the patience of Job.

She lives for chocolate, but then who doesn’t? She’ll kill for a cup of coffee in the morning. She’s convinced the best food on earth is French fries. And she could easily be a vegetarian if it wasn’t for bacon.

  1. I love the old truck on the cover but as I come from a family of racers and antique car collectors, I seem to be drawn to them. Sounds good too!

    • I love it too. Gives me a good feeling when I look at the cover. Makes me think of a small town.

    • That’s cool. I haven’t read the second one yet. I’ll probably do that one about the same time next month. Glad to hear it is as much fun.
