Sherry’s Shelves – 1.16 – 1.22.22 #stackingtheshelves #thesundaypost #thesundaysalon

Sunday Post

Hi Everyone. Hope you had a great week and are looking forward to what comes next. We have had some cold and some okay weather the past week.

We had some friends of ours drop by and had dinner on the patio. Happy to report the weather cooperated and I was only a little chilly. LOL

Most of the time I have a book in my hand, but the past couple of days I have tried to put them down more often and catch up on reviews. I don’t review a lot of the books I read, because then I wouldn’t be able to read as many. LOL I want to start reviewing more of them, so that means keeping up on R2R books. That’s hard when some of my favorite authors hand me two, three, or four books of theirs at a time. How can they manage to write faster than I can read. LOL I know some of them are from their back books, but eventually I will have caught up and be in the present…or future. I don’t review anything that doesn’t appear on my blog first, but I do rate them on Goodreads.

How about you? Do you review everything you read?

Stay safe and wear a mask..

  1. Nice photo! I do review everything I read but some library books or books I own only get a couple sentences on Goodreads rather than a full review. The blog automatically updates Goodreads with review posts. I like having some books where I am not having to write a big long review.

Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post

  2. I am glad the weather cooperated for your dinner with friends. I try to review most of what I read but I fail miserably at it. I need to carve out some review writing time. I am still playing catch up from last year and have reviews to write for this year. I hope you have a great week and stay warm!

  3. What a great photo! I am glad that you were able to get together with friends. I do review everything I read with very rare exceptions. I sometimes question why I don’t skip the books I didn’t receive for review but I end up reviewing them anyway.

  4. I used to write long reviews for everything I read, but I quickly got behind and could never catch up on reviews. Now I just write a few sentences in my Sunday Post about the books I finished that week. It makes life a lot easier!

  5. I don’t review everything I read. In fact, I don’t reveiw ENOUGH of what I read! I’m trying to work on that this year.

I’m glad you were able to get together with friends… and although it was chilly, outdoors is definitely safer than indoors.

Have a good week, and happy reading!
