Sunday Post #431 August

Hello fellow bloggers. I see where Hurricane Delta is going to pass by Pensacola, but smack Lake Charles in the face….again. I feel for them. That being said, the cleanup in the yard is almost done. We have one more stack of tree debris for them to pick up. I will be sharing some photos and videos, so be sure and come on by again soon.

This video was them taking out the oak tree that, luckily, fell between the shed and the fence. Yeah, we need to replace the fence, but the shed is still standing, with some damage. It could have been worse.

My reading mood is low, so I haven’t done much of it and blogging is still…well, I did try and make it by at least a couple of times this week and see what you were up to. I am hoping to shake this lethargy and get going again soon.

Hope you have a good week. Stay safe and I’ll be seeing you.

  1. I am glad to hear you were spared this time. I never stop feeling for the folks in the gulf states. This is a tough time of year. Happy to hear the clean up is going well, and I hope you have a great week.

  2. I’m glad the clearup is at least going ahead and that the worst is going to miss you, fingers crossed. I feel bad for everyone in the way of any of these storms, I really do.

I’m struggling with the reading too, as you know. I don’t know what it is with me these days but I hope we can get back to normal reading times soon!

  3. It’s good that the tree feel neither on the fence nor the shed. Hope your reading mood improves . . . maybe a totally different genre will pique your interest?

  4. I’m sorry you have had so much work from the storms. It’s totally understandable to have that focus on cleanup. Right now with good weather here I am busy with planting and yard work before winter. Hope it’s a better week for you!

  5. Thank goodness this other hurricane passed you by. I’m glad the cleanup is coming along. All of this can be exhausting. No wonder you feel lethargic. Rest up and give yourself time to process life and before you know it, you’ll be back to feeling motivated.:-)

  6. Sorry to hear about the damage, but happy that you’re almost done with cleanup and you were spared this last storm. So sad to lose an oak tree!

    Hope your reading improves! 🙂

  7. I feel about the loss of trees the way many people feel about the loss of a beloved pet. I’m sorry yours fell, but I’m glad it did not fall in a way that caused more damage. We had a big limb go through the roof of our garage, and now we are having a tree person come and trim everything up. I don’t know if I could have even had the tree person come if we hadn’t had the warning siren.

I hope your blogging and reading spirits are doing better soon. It’s a difficult time, isn’t it? I’m having a hard time maintaining my spirits, too. I think I need to find a good comedy.

  8. I’m glad the cleanup is getting done. Our neighbors had to replace a fence last summer because a tree fell on it during a windstorm. The giant tree somehow missed two houses but took out the fence. Have a great week!
