Sherry’s Shelves #184 – #Flowers & #Chocolate

.

Sherry’s Shelves #184 is my weekly update from 2.10.19 – 2.16.19.

~~~
Hello. Welcome to another edition of Sherry’s Shelves. Spring is in the air and so was love…Hope everyone enjoyed their Valentine…s Day. Mr Wonderful was his usual wonderful self. He got me some delicious chocolate covered strawberries and a beautiful, wonderfully fragrant bouquet of roses.
So… I have been having issues with my arm and I do believe I have biceps tendonitis. Mr Wonderful has it in his elbow. You may probably be able to guess why….one of the drawbacks of technology…computeritis. We both love our computers and when we aren’t out and about doing things, we spend a lot of time on them. How about you? Any side affects come your way? What do you do to correct them?
The sun is shining and I feel good. I love the feet of it on my skin, warming me, lulling me into a trance, igniting my imagination, transporting me to another place…kind of like when I read a good book.
Sooo, do you have any plans for this weekend?
  1. I had issues with the nerves in my right arm but wearing a wrist splint for a couple of weeks sorted that out. I have recurring bursitis in my right elbow and tennis elbow occasionally in my left!
    • Sorry to hear it, but we must power through. lol Blogging has become addictive to me and I don’t know what I would do without it, even though I have trouble keeping up with things now and then.
  2. I have carpal tunnel in both arms and issues with my elbow and shoulder. All from work and the computer. If you find a solution, let me know! LOL Mr. Wonderful always does good, Sherry. Miss you guys:)
    • I will let you know. Getting old…er sucks, but at least we are all in the same boat and can pass along some suggestions on dealing with our issues.
  3. Those flowers are beautiful! Good job, Mr. Wonderful. I do have carpel tunnel and a tendon issue in my thumb. I stopped using a mouse over 10 years ago and also stopped knitting and crocheting, since both activities aggravated my issues. I am not pain free, but it’s better. I also use an appliance for alignment when I am on the computer.
    • Thanks. I don’t use a mouse very often any more. I’m sorry you had to give up some things you enjoy, but it’s all about priorities. I am curious about the appliance you use.
    • Thanks Kristin. I will power on and find a way to deal with it better. Glad to hear all is good at your end.
  4. Oh how pretty! It’s nice to put a face to the blog, too 🙂 Boo on the computer related ouchies. I have eye trouble now and again from too much computer time. But it’s so hard to give up! lol
    • Thanks Anne. I have backed off a bit and try to take more breaks. After all, sitting here and blogging for 4 or 5 hours nonstop is never a good thing. I won’t give it up, so I need to find ways to make it better for me.
  5. What lovely roses. Your Mr.Wonderful did good. Sorry about the owies, hope you both are feeling better soon. Nothing better than feeling the sun on your face!
  6. Oh nice that Mr. Wonderful, is wonderful.
    I had problems with my fingers at times when I did computer, knitting, tennis, piano and saxophone, for about 10 hours or more a day. Now I am on the computer more and some knitting, but it seems to not be as much as I did in those days. I rarely have trouble now. I hope you find a way to work around it.
