“You don’t have to be Dear effing Abby to know rape is a poor start to any relationship,” Ella said hotly. “Besides, I lied about all that valet stuff. The fact is, I’m married.”
.

“Where is he, this mysterious nonexistent husband?”

“A long way away.”

BLURB
.
Ella Stevens is a woman on the eve of her wedding when a frantic phone call from an old college pal sets her on a course that takes her away from the altar and away from any semblance of life as she knows it. Unfortunately, rescuing her friend means losing herself when she stumbles onto a time portal in Old Cairo that sends her back in time at the moment just before the greatest archaeological discovery of the age. Trying desperately to get back to her own time–and her fiance, a sexy US Marshal who, contrary to popular belief, doesn’t have all the patience in the world–Ella discovers that evil isn’t limited to any one timeline. With the startling discovery of the most precious treasure she will ever have, Ella risks her life to protect it while fighting to find her way back to her man.

  1. Thanks for the shout-out, Sherry! I woke up to a happy surprise when I saw your blog post today. I did want to mention for anyone who’s interested that I’m finishing up as we speak the third book in this same time-travel series and it should be available mid to late March. It’s called “The Key West Effect” and takes Rowan and Ella to…well, Key West. 🙂 Thanks, again, Sherry, so much for featuring “The Cairo Effect” on your blog!

    • You are very welcome Susan. Key West! Awesome. I have never been there, but it is on my bucket list. Every year I say I’m going, maybe this is the year. Either way, I would sure love to travel there with Ella. She always has such exciting adventures. ^_^

    • You are very welcome and thanks for stopping by and commenting. Always nice to talk. ^_^

  2. I haven’t decided what I’m going to read next yet. I’m scrolling through my loaded Kindle and debating. I started two books last night and then changed my mind! The Cairo Effect certainly sounds like a great adventure and romance novel! Maybe it’s just what I’m looking for!

    • Susan writes a great adventure and romance story, full of peril and hardship. No cushy African safari for Ella.

  3. I have this book! Been wanting to get it started. I’m up for this action. Thanks for sharing this one Sherry. Looks like a new series to fall into!

  4. I love Susan’s writing and she has a lot of books to her credit. I am slowly working my way through them. I am excited about the next Fugitive novel. Ella is going to Key West.

    • I agree. Makes you want to pop a bowl of corn, kick up your feet and dive right in to her adventure.
