GOODREADS BLURB

An erotic tale of passion and power and their dangerous consequences

In 1978, Dawit, a young, beautiful, and educated Ethiopian refugee, roams the streets of Paris. By chance, he spots the famous French author M., who at sixty is at the height of her fame. Seduced by Dawit’s grace and his moving story, M. invites him to live with her. He makes himself indispensable, or so he thinks. When M. brings him to her Sardinian villa, beside the Bay of Foxes, Dawit finds love and temptation—and perfects the art of deception.

I won this ARC quite some time ago and thought I read it. I don’t have it marked read and I don’t really remember it, so….It is erotica and that is not a genre that is at the top of my reading list, but I do try to read everything that sits on a shelf in my house. So….I will need to read it again to be sure. It looks like a fast read at 235 pages. I added it to my TBR on 7.6.12.

  1. I think I’ve culled every book on my TBR that I no longer want to read. Everything left I REALLY want to read!

I hate it when I can’t remember if I’ve read one of my books! There have been a few times when I’ve forgotten to mark something as read!

    • you are so far ahead of me in organizing. for new bloggers, i recommend taking it easy and figuring out the organizational aspects before going click crazy….like me. I am slowly going through it.

  2. I have a sneaking suspicion that I have a few eARCs and ARCs that have slipped through the cracks over the years. It’s rough when you aren’t sure if you read one or if you just forgot to mark it read. GoodReads has definitely made that a lot easier, but still some slip through the cracks. 🙂 Enjoy Sherry!

    • i have gotten better, but now it’s time to try and clean up the mess I made. i need to make a separate for ones i have, but may never read. ya know, i want to keep track of what i have for some of the challenges i do. i may need that book. LOL i couldn’t help but laugh at myself over that last sentence

    • i am current with recent arcs and am doing much better with them. i mostly write the reviews as soon as i finish reading them, but it’s the other books that keep growing. lol

  3. My tbr is a hot mess. I keep saying I am gonna sit down one day and go thru my Goodreads shelves and organize and delete and all but it just aint happened as of yet. LOL

    • that’s how i felt for a long time, then i came across this meme. i am going through my…very slowly. lol

  4. Not my thing, though it has shades of Six Degrees of Separation, and those stories, where some nefarious person slips into your life can be quite compelling.

    • i have a few stacks that i am now organizing and hope to add them to mymountain of a tbr. i’ll use a special shelf so i can keep better track of them and am going to try and knock them out next year

  5. Oh yes… the teetering TBR… This one sounds interesting – I hopefully have sorted out my books, so that accidental rereads aren’t a regular occurance. But it does still happen… I hope you enjoy this one, Sherry.

    • thanks sarah. i hope to some day i would at least get my goodreads tbr and all my physical books sorted. i usually feel i have to get the whole project done at one time, but no more. i work on it a little bit at a time.

  6. I just started organizing my kindle books. Way too many and I want to try to review one a week. At least then I’ll feel like I’m getting somewhere. LOL I have this book too, Sherry.

    • cool that you have it too. i haven’t figured out a schedule yet, but one a week would do it. whether i would hold to that or not is another thing
