I let my form materialize slowly in front of her. Her eyes widen and turn to the most brilliant green I think I have ever seen. I am not sure if she is frightened or not. She does not budge from where she sits and there is no startled reaction.

She slowly smiles…. oh great Gods in heaven, she has the most amazing smile I have ever seen, I have seen it a million times but it has never been while I was in the flesh and I have never had it focused on me. Her body language changes suddenly. She jumps to her feet going from a fairly relaxed stance to a fighter’s stance and is in full defense mode. I feel her defenses and shields come up and shroud her.

“Who are you?” she says now with panic and fear emerging from her psyche. “And why are you here?”

“I am your Guardian, created by Ba’al to protect you.” I answer in a calming tone so that she does not panic more.

“You are what and by whom?” she snaps, puffing up her chest to make herself look bigger, almost like a wild animal in the fight or flight defensive stance. “I do not need to be protected and I for sure do not need a Guardian.”

“My Angel Michael, why do you talk to me so often? Why do you seek me out? Don’t you have duties to your God to fulfill?” she asked very boldly.

“My duty is to watch over you and all of God’s creatures,” I answered.

“Then why is it that I always feel you near me, it is like you never leave me?” she asked with a smile on her beautiful lips.

“It’s because I find you the most interesting and intriguing, my lovely Lilith. But right now I do have to leave you and report to our God on your thoughts.”

“When we speak again, I shall have more questions, there is so much I would love to know and learn.” She continued down the path.

I watched her for a few more moments as she walked away loving the way her hips swayed gracefully side to side so alluring and beautiful. “I know you are still there Michael, go do your duty,” she said with a laugh. I jumped at her declaration, knowing she could not see me and then hearing her melodic laugh.

I left with a smile and a warm heart. I know as I went to approach Yahweh to tell him everything I had learned that he would already know of it, but I wasn’t sure he would know what Lilith thought in that beautiful and very intelligent head of hers.

I transported myself to the heavens, missing the presence of her loving smile. Entering the halls of Yahweh’s great Fortress in the heavens it always took my breath away. But it was now losing its appeal as I thought about Lilith’s beauty in comparison. I ushered myself into the throne room of Yahweh’s own personal dwelling area. Bowing deeply before the throne, “My Lord, may it please you can I have a moment of your time?”

“Yes, Angel, what is it that you have to tell me?” he answered, his voice echoing off the walls of his intricately designed walls. The etching in the walls lay out the designs of the Universe and the worlds beyond a guide to creation and the layouts of the other Gods’ creatures.

Coming to sit before Yahweh, I thought carefully about how I would express my feelings without putting them in the forefront so that I did not seem too excited at the fact that Lilith and Adam would not be as Yahweh had wanted them.

“What is it that has you so twisted into rings of turmoil as to make it so you are not comfortable in speaking with me?” Yahweh questioned me lovingly and it reassured me that what I had to say would not make my Lord unhappy.

Lesser Known Facts About the Book

– There is a very strong / intense story of love that is present throughout the book.

– ‘Metamorphing’ as such is not a real word, rather not a word that is used in the sense that it is supposed to mean (Metamorphosing). I had to spell it out to all publishers while making my submission for the book that I am aware of this fact and I was only playing with words. Was worried that I could get rejected at the mention / sight of the name of the book itself!

– A sneak peek into the college life of a student of Criminology – Learning the ropes of detection, deduction and crime scene investigation.

– There is a Vampire in the book!

– As of now its a trilogy with two parts.

– At one point in time, one part of the book was supposed to be based in the 1900s.

Author’s Profile

Kunal Pancholi graduated from SRCC Delhi in 2001. He completed his MBA from NMIMS Mumbai in 2006. Previously, in his professional career he has worked with banks, co-founded READO – an audio book publishing company and done a marketing stint with a film production company in Mumbai. Currently he heads Sales & Marketing at a technology start-up. He lives in Chennai with his wife, parents, sister and grand-mom.

Brand new covers for Lancaster House and The Middle Aisle!

~A paranormal romance series by Taylor Dean~

Lancaster House was the first Taylor Dean book that I read. I loved it, but when I read The Middle Aisle, she won me over for life. It has one of the best endings I have every read. Even now, months later, it pops into my mind off and on.

I have always thought her covers are very original and I love the painterly effect.

Buuuuut. I totally agree with her decision to change them. I think these beautiful and fantastic new covers are going to scream from the shelf, “PICK ME! PICK ME!” What do you think?

My Review for Lancaster Hous e / My Review for The Middle Aisle

I love my OLD covers. (Pictured on the left.) I really do. They’re different from the norm and that’s why they captured my attention.For Lancaster House, I liked the idea of a hand reaching out from the grave. It seemed appropriate to the story; Andre reaches out to Zoe from beyond the grave. It was Carrie-like and kind of creepy.

There’s just one problem.

This is not a horror novel. Not at all. This is a paranormal romance. People who like horror are drawn to the cover and are sadly disappointed when they realize it’s a romance.

People who love paranormal romance are turned off by the cover because it looks too creepy. In other words, the cover just wasn’t working.

I love The Middle Aisle cover because it matched Lancaster House so perfectly. And part of the story takes place in Monterey, California. Monterey is known for its Cypress trees. The tree on the cover of The Middle Aisle reminded me of a Cypress tree and seemed perfect.

But, if the right people aren’t reading the first book, no one will ever read the second one no matter what the cover looks like!

Bam! Decision made!

It was time for new covers for Lancaster House and The Middle Aisle! I love the new covers because they speak so perfectly as to what’s on the inside..
