Sherry’s Shelves – 6.1 – 6.7.25

Hi Everyone. It’s been a quiet week for me. Doing a lot of reading, now I’m concentrating on the reviews. Our weather has been mostly sunny with intermittent rain…a typical Florida summer. Eric’s been doing a lot of trimming. I hate that I am not able to help. I used to love spending most of the day outside, no matter what the temperature. It’s been 80 – 90 most every day. I used to thrive on the sun. but I now feel my age. Isn’t it funny (not funny ha ha, but funny odd) that when you look in the mirror you see your mother? 🙂 Have a super week!

Hi Everyone. Spring is in the air and so is the pollen. The ice over the winter took a toll on the plants, but sagos grow like weeds, so we can always count on them to come back. The pool is looking great and the weather has been in the eighties. This week Eric was out of town for a few days so I binge watched A Discovery Of Witches. It was pretty good.

MY FIFTEEN MINUTES OF FAME and weekly update #mullettoss #florabama

Mullet Toss celebrates a landscape and culture in flux (WUWF by T S Strickland).

Hi Everyone. This is Mullet Toss weekend, but I will not be attending. What used to be a party of twenty or more of our family, friends and friends of our friends, The Florabama Open (our personal golfing event) has petered out. It lasted for more than twenty years, so I think it had a good run. My hubby, Eric, and I still celebrate it and are thinking of getting a room next year, even if no one else wants to come. Rooms are super expensive, but, even though we live close, the traffic and parking are outrageous, so the only way we do it is to get a room at the Phoenix Ten, a condo complex right beside the Florabama, home of the Mullet Toss.

I know I said I was going to be blogging more, but the best laid plans….This week I am holding myself to it. I have numerous reviews waiting to be written, so keep your eyes open. I hope you have a great week and I’ll be talking at ya.

Sherry’s Shelves 3.9 – 3.15.25

Hi Everyone. I used to love a good thunderstorm, but not so much any more. I’m glad it blew through in one day, leaving everything still standing. It’s always a concern because of the large oak trees…in our neighbor’s yard. They have many dead branches and we did lose one the last wind storm that blew through. Hubby had to get out the saw and cut it up, it was so heavy. BUT, today the sun is shining and it’s going to be in the 70s. That always makes me feel a bit better. Now, it’s off to do my twenty minutes of walking.

Sherry’s Shelves 2.23 – 3.1.25

Hi Everyone. I have been doing some binging on reading and TV. I’ve also been walking and doing some of my rehab exercises, trying to get back into the routine since I’ve been down for a few weeks. If I had my way, I would just skip Februarys and go straight to March, seeing last year I ended up in the hospital in February and this month hasn’t been my best.

We are having some great weather and adding a few chemicals to the pool getting it ready for the season. It’s looking good. I plan on starting to sit outside in the sun for fifteen minutes or so and get my dose of Vitamin D.

Hi Everyone. I’ve been a bit under the weather, and I am getting sick and tired of being sick and tired. I’m eating better and staying well hydrated, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. I’m glad that I can get lost in some fantastic books I have been reading, making me forget about being sick and tired. 🙂 Any how, the sun was shining today and we are supposed to have some warmer temperatures and I am really looking forward to that. I plan on sitting outside and getting some sun. That always makes me feel better. Stay well and have a great week.

    Hi Everyone. I don’t know about you, but this has been one wild week. We got nine inches of snow and it stuck around for five days. Everything shut down, even I 10. Here in the Florida Panhandle, we are not equipped to handle inclement weather like ice and snow. Today, the sun is out and we are in the low 60s. Now, I’ll be watching some football. How about you? Do you follow any football teams? Do you have a favorite sport?
