Sherry’s Shelves #202 – Homestead Here We Come @KyleBusch

.

Sherry’s Shelves #202 is my blog update from 11.10.19 – 11.16.19.

LATEST HAPPENINGS

Hello fellow bloggers. How are you today? I am doing this post while watching college football, my normal during the football season. I don’t watch a lot of Nascar since Jeff Gordon retired. We thought about it long and hard and chose Kyle Busch to be our champion. I loved his snarky, confident attitude. He has settled down since getting married and having kids. I thought it was funny that Mr Wonderful spends about five minutes on I10 going to work in the morning and what did he see the other day? The M&M truck that holds all Kyle Busch’s goodies, heading for Homestead. He is in the running for the championship and I wish him all the luck. We will be flipping back and forth on TV, watching the race and pro football.

It’s been chilly here with some rain and sunshine both. It has warmed up a little today and I need to clean the pool, but hey, who are we fooling. I won’t be getting in it, so no big deal. I’ll get to it…eventually. LOL How about you? I have gotten pretty good at taking care of business, especially knocking out the things I want to do the least, Otherwise it hangs in the back of my head, driving me nuts. Are you a procrastinator, putting off til tomorrow what you could do today? Would you rather binge watch TV? Catch a good movie? Read a good book? Do some blogging? Or just hang out with the family?

Well, that’s about it for this week. Leave a link and I’ll stop by and check you out.

  1. I have to say that’s the coolest truck I’ve seen! I love those M&M guys! I like to get the jobs done as soon as, or I sit and think about how I need to get stuff done! It’s a losing battle living with the mess my dad is always making!

  2. I have lost a lot of interest since Jeff Gordon retired. I even have a cat named after him. I also picked Kyle Busch to win. Truex is a nice guy. Harvick is a great driver, but the devil and I always loved the paint colors on Hamlin’s FedEx car. Kyle did break both his legs, took that pain like a man, and still came back that same year to win the championship. I will be watching NASCAR !

  3. I didn’t know that about Busch. I used to love watching that one female racer, and found her so inspirational. I do my fair share of racing on the highway and I need to be more mindful of that. (shrugs to self)

    • danika patrick? she’s hooked up with aaron rodgers from the green bay packers. i don’t know what she’s doing now

      • She’s selling workout videos and attire. Her and Aaron have also started a wine business together. I also noticed the CAPTCHA was 88.

  4. I just don’t seem to watch any tv. The only sports I love to watch are the Olympics which are only every couple years. I just prefer to read most of the time. It’s been cold and I’m looking forward to a warmer week. Have a wonderful week and read some great books!

  5. Love that cool truck, Sherry. And yep – I’m someone who puts off the chores in favour of getting the writing done! Have a good week.

  6. I hope you saw some good games yesterday. I am a Rutgers alumna, so obviously, I didn’t get too invested in college football, when I was in school. I saw on Twitter that they managed to score though, so, that’s something.

  7. I’m the opposite sort of person from a procrastinator….I’m the sort who gets right to work and then obsessively continues to work on something long after I have really finished with it. Believe you me, that’s not a great thing to be either.

I’ve never watched a race. Isn’t that crazy? I need to watch one, at least one time in my life.

    Have a great week!

    • i used to ‘try’ and be a perfectionist, but as i got older i found it’s too much work. lol now, i do the best i can and move on. the racing format has changed and money has become too much of nascar’s motivation, but i still enjoy watching, especially for the championship

    • i hate dusting most of all. why catch the dust genie come out at night and take care of it for me. lol

  8. I’m definitely a procrastinator and I hate it. I’ve been trying to get myself out of the habit of putting things off because I hate it when they take up brain space but I haven’t quite managed to align actions to desires as yet! I’ll get there though. 😉

    Have a good week!

  9. Reading and doing blogging things is what I usually put off chores for, oh and playing Words With Friends! Ha ha. I hope you are at least enjoying the cooler temperatures a little bit? Hope you had a great week. 👍✨

    • i have been doing yard work and hope to get the outside christmas lights up this week. great weather for doing that
