HAPPY NEW YEAR

May be an image of 2 people, people standing, fireworks and text

Well, 2021 was not the happiest of years and I don’t know if 2022 is going to be any better, so I plan on enjoying whatever is available to me each and every day. I am not gong to harp on the negative, instead, let’s talk about our weather here in the Florida Panhandle. It got up to 80 this past week with lots of sunshine. My mother in law was here for Christmas and because of the fabulous weather we went to a restaurant on the beach and it was fantastic. Only the second time I ate out in two years. We had a great visit and I was so happy Mr Wonderful went to get her. Alabama won their game, but my Michigan Wolverines fell flat. That’s okay. We cracked the Ohio Buckeyes and won the Bit Ten Title and we had been a 100 to 1 bet in Vegas at the beginning of the year. So….don’t ever count us out. Georgia was everything I was afraid they would be and I will be rooting against them again when they play Alabama.

I hope the new year is all you wish for….

Stay safe and wear a mask..

  1. After visiting my brother in Florida earlier in the month, I sort of can’t believe how hot it is there in the cool season. I really like the weather here in NC altho we might get a few snowflakes this week. Happy New Year Sherry!

  2. I am glad you had a nice visit with your mother-in-law! It’s been chilly where I live. We finally have sunshine and clear skies after a couple weeks of heavy rain. I love the rain though, so I didn’t mind. I hope you have a Happy New Year and a great week!

  3. I haven’t gone out to eat in a very long time. But we have ordered in a couple of times. It’s cold here, we won’t see 80’s for a few months.

  4. I honestly feel like that is the way to do it. Just focus on all the positive things. If the last two years has taught me anything it’s that it’s not worth my time or energy to worry or focus on the negativity around me. I hope 2022 is a better year. <3

  5. Last year was a rough year for all of us, but I think you are wise to focus on the positive, to focus on the small joys of right now. Like looking at this beautiful Christmas tree, with so many old ornaments that bring back such great memories. And this cup of coffee. And my lemon yogurt.

And, of course, the great books that come our way.

Love the photo, Sherry! Happy New Year!
