Up the Creek is quite a story. It features a strong protagonist, with an engaging supporting cast, a current, true-to-life theme with interesting insights, a bit of politics, and a compelling mystery. The epilogue takes place three years later, so I am not sure what Ms. Marsh has planned for the series, but I am excited to find out.

Up The Creek by Shelley Marsh is an entertaining ecological mystery. I love any books that take place in a place I am familiar with, like Florida. If you are a nature lover like I am, Up The Creek may be right up your alley too, and Amanda Wright may win your heart as she struggles to save her beloved family’s eco business and the nature reserve that she loves so much.
Fact and fiction met in a realistic way.
There is a lot going on and Shelley Marsh held my attention throughout. She also did a great job creating an ending that left me feeling good about it.
There are study guide questions at the end of the book.
