Sunday Post #431 August

Hello Everybody. Hope you had a good week and all is well in your world. It has been cloudy, a bit rainy with periods of sunshine. Well, Friday I went out into the big bad world and I did not like it. It was a big waste of time. I checked the doctor’s office hours, because I did a televisit with my doctor, but am required to physically pick up the prescription. I got there just after twelve and no one was there. SO, Mr Wonderful and I went to the bank, slowly, and came back, slowly, trying to use up time. Oh, and guess what, the doctor’s office closes at noon!!!!!!

I hope you all have a good week and please stay safe, wear a mask.

    • it was for a controlled substance, pain pills. here in florida you have to jump through hoops to get them. i had to pick up the physical prescription

  1. It can be very frustrating going out into the world these days. I go ballistic when I see people going around without masks or social distancing. Openings and closings seem a little random, too.

We were happy to miss the hurricanes, but we really would like a little rain now.

    Have a good week.

    • that is so true here in the florida panhandle. people are pushing to get back to their version of normal. in city limits masks are manditory (yeah, right), but i live just outside the city limits and people can do what they want, sort of. a lot of businesses have decided to crack down on their own because our local politicians won’t go against trump

    • thanks aj. mr wonderful drove me over and i ran it. took all of five minutes, if that

  2. Yes planning is important these days. Things are not their usual hours. I called the garden center to make sure they would have the fall plants I want (not for a couple weeks yet) and I know they are only open Wed-Sat this year. So they are closed 3 days a week.

I hope you stay safe and well!

    • that’s exactly what i thought. florida is very strict on pain medication. i have to go to a pain clinic

  3. I’m not really a fan of going out into the world either these days! I’ll echo what Deb said above, the lack of distancing and masks irks me at times. I mean I don’t want to wear ’em either lol!

The weather has been getting cooler here- I guess fall is coming!

    Be well this week!

    • yeah, none of us does, but it’s a FACT of life and a sign of respect for others. i think a lot of people don’t get that. AND it is temporary. this too shall pass…as they say

  4. I’m still not ready to venture out into the world yet. I haven’t left the house in months except to go to my uncle’s house to clear stuff out and a couple of heavily masked visits to the local shops. I’m getting everything I can delivered! My dad needs to get to the DIY store this week which of course has me a bit nervous.

    • mr wonderful is just that. since he works from home he gets a bit antsy, so he has come up with a routine to run our essential errands and stay safe, though he does keep them to a minimum. yeah, i would worry too. Just remember the key three things: wear a mask, social distance and wash your hands!

    • for sure beth. looks like most of my blogger friends feel the same way i do. take care and stay safe
