MY TEASE

What an odd man, I thought. Who compares another man’s wife to a bath he wants to sink into? Another man’s missing wife?

(page 164 in hardback)

GOODREADS BLURB

On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy’s diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media—as well as Amy’s fiercely doting parents—the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he’s definitely bitter—but is he really a killer?

    • I couldn’t help but read it now. It is getting very interesting….

    • I was lucky my sister, Laura, had it and loaned it to me. Lucky me!

  1. I felt repulsed by many parts of this book, BUT I couldn’t put it down. It’s an amazing, well-written story, no matter how you feel about the qualities of some of the characters. Can’t wait to read your review, Sherry.

    • Right now I don’t like either one of them, but I do like flawed, wicked characters. I like to walk a bit on the wild side. LOL

    • No, I haven’t seen the movie. I am a TV addict, but don’t do a lot of movies. I am just getting to the point where I wonder who is the worst character and I think this is one movie I would like to see. Was it as good as the book? Books are usually better for me than movies.

  2. Gone Girl was such an epic read. I was turning the pages faster than I ever thought possible. Her other two novels are just as twisted. Perhaps not up to par with Gone Girl, but when you’ve written the best thriller of the decade, it’s hard to beat it. XD

    Awesome meme~
