I am experimenting with Nextgen Gallery. I have had it for a long time, just never really used it. Now is the time, seeing Mr Wonderful is scanning images from our photo albums before they fade too badly. Unfortunately, the negatives have become damaged due to all the humidity down here and it is even more important to save them now.
Mobile, Alabama holds a Doo Dah Parade every spring and these are from 1997. I can tell this was still in the film days, because I had to limit how many photographs I took due to cost. I still like film the best, but I can click away with digital and that is an advantage I revel in. There are ups and downs to everything.
This is a slide show, but you can click on the individual photograph to see it better, then scroll through them using the buttons below the photograph.

Mr Wonderful and I went to see Cirque du Soleil’s Axel in October of last year. We have seen them in tents, in parking lots and in concert venues and have never failed to be amazed. The guy on the ice is the one singing. He is the star of the show, but….
This girl was his counterpart. The story is a romance…
If you look closely, you can see the live band playing on either side of the stage. I thought that was so cool.
I love the song, but the music video blew me away. I LOVE IT!
Hope the new year has started out with a bang for you too. We could see the fireworks show happening at the parks from our hotel, the Rosen Inn in Orlando, Florida.
The Rosen Inn was a great place to stay. Close to all kinds of good things, including the parks. The view from our room
If there is a Hooters around, you will find us there. LOL
MMMMM…chicken tenders. My favorite Hooters treat.Mr Wonderful lots his wings smokin’ hot.
We started out December with a couple quickie road trips and a family visit to Birmingham, Alabama. BUT the highlight was Orlando and the Citrus Bowl. It’s not very often Michigan plays Alabama and it has been since 1997, the Outback Bowl in Tampa, that we have battled. Alabama edged us out, 17 -14. We never made it to the Orange Bowl in 2000, where Michigan beat Alabama, 35 – 34, in an overtime showdown or their first meeting was in 1987, where we won 28 – 24. So, 2 out of 4 games ain’t bad. 🙂
BUT…before the game, we had some things to do.
This is a fabulous shot by Mr Wonderful, in the mini golf parking lot.
What color is your ball?
Blue for me and Michigan, Red for Mr Wonderful and AlabamaEnter…if you dare.Mr Wonderful is always such a happy guy and lives life 110%.
THEN, it’s off to see some birds and gators…at Gatorland.
I was looking for photo ops and never saw it.
There were lots of other birds, but we only saw one of theses, a Roseate Spoonbill.
This is the bit guy…and because he doesn’t play well with others he has his own place.
Tourists….not my favorite part of Gatorland, but was fun.MMMMMMMM…yummyA jump and a missThe nursery
Dinner time and if it’s good enough for Elvish, it’s good enough for us. LOL
A Bloody Mary for him…
A margarita for me….
Mr Wonderful hunted down the pic from the Outback Bowl in Tampa in 1997. Nice comparisons. We haven’t aged a bit, have we? LOL
Partying in Tampa in 199!!!!!!!!!!!
And here we are at the Citrus Bowl in 2020.
We stayed at the Rosen Inn and were in walking distance to the pep rally’s and all kinds of eateries and entertainment. Jim Harbaugh was supposed to show….but we all know how that goes. 🙁
Mr Wonderful is a babe magnet. LOL
Even the dogs came out for Michigan.
We did a little tailgating before the game. A guy was going through the parking lot selling these baby yoda T shirts and I had to have one.
It has become hard to carry my SLR cameras around, so we shot with our phones. Not too shabby. We left for home right after the game. We had a great time and I’LL BE BACK WITH MORE ADVENTURES, SO STAY TUNED. Until then, happy journeys to you.

LATEST HAPPENINGS
Hi All. Glad to see you here. Halloween is over and I was glad to see we had more treaters than usual. We don’t get a lot so I hand out handfuls of candy. The only bad thing is, I eat almost as much as I give away. I LOVE chocolate. Time is going by so fast and the cooler weather is setting in. We had a lot of rain last week and needed it. Today the sun is shining and, even though it’s only 66 as I write this post, it feels warmer.
Well, that’s about it for this week. Leave a link and I’ll stop by and check you out.

LATEST HAPPENINGS
Hello fellow bloggers. I hope you have all had a great week, filled with family, fun and a lot of great books. Woo Hoo. Two weeks in a row. As the summer winds down and the pool cools off, I am still enjoying the warm weather and spending as much time outdoors as I can. I will be doing the October Blogger Shame challenge and hope to get a lot more late reviews done and finish out most of the year. I will still be plugging in some tours, I can’t help myself. It’s so hard to say no. LOL
Most of you already now about my vacation to Connecticut, Rhode Island, Boston and Cape Cod, but I thought I would share some more photos. You can see the pictorial tour HERE.
I don’t know the name of the LIghthouse, but it is in Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island. Here’s another lighthoust in Narragansett Bay and we fished all around it.I love all the flowers that were still in bloom
My mother in law had cut this one because the squirrels were relentless in their pursuit of a free meal.
Seems flower boxers are everywhere and I love them.
I have some great giveaways going on and a few reviews to share, so feel free to browse to your heart’s content.

LATEST HAPPENINGS
Hello fellow bloggers. I hope you have all had a great week, filled with family, fun and a lot of great books. It’s been a while and I just returned from a vacation to the north. We spent ten wonderful days touring and visiting friends and family in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Boston and Cape Cod. You can see the pictorial tour HERE.
I did a lot of binge reading while traveling. Does anyone else hate to fly?
The weather here in the Florida Panhandle is still warm and sunny and I am lovin’ every minute of it. It was twenty degrees cooler during the day and even more at night up there. For the first time in a long time, we got rained out one day. We still toured around, but I shot all my photographs from the dryness of the car that day. Have I turned into a wuss? LOL
I have some great giveaways going on and a few reviews to share, so feel free to browse to your heart’s content.
First…I start out with a plan…We have more than a thousand photographs between us, Mr Wonderful and I. We shot with our phones and numerous cameras. I chose some of the highlights…and I have a headache trying to choose which to use. I hope you enjoy them.
I give up. No matter what I do, I can’t get the photograph to show properly, though it does in draft. I resized, cropped, changed the size, but the darn thing refuses to listen to me. LOLTraveling…and I hate flying! We went from the airport to the Boston Red Sox Game.
Friday, Mr Wonderful went golfing with his brother and I hung around the house, binge reading….the Twilight series. It was nice to sit and relax by myself, getting ready for the upcoming whirlwind tour.
Saturday we went to another Boston Red Sox baseball game with Mr Wonderful’s brother, who is an avid fan and his wife…who, at the moment, is missing in action. LOLSunday we went fishing in Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island with a good friend of our.The big one didn’t get away. It’s a scup. A very pretty fish. We gave him his freedom. The Cape CottageMonday we headed to the Cape and treated Mr Wonderful’s parent to a 61st anniversary dinner.
Tuesday Mr Wonderful went by himself to play golf. Because of my arm injury I am still unable to play, so I stayed with his parents and brother and sister in law. Then I went for a walk on the beach.
Found some sea glass and shells for my collection.Cape Cod’s low tide is .24 feet and goes to a high tide of 3.31 feet. I didn’t stay at the beach for dead low, but most of the water you see in the photograph will be gone and the bottom of Cape Cod Bay will be visible and people often walk out so far they get caught when the tide comes rushing back in. My first Cape Cod sunset in 11 years. I was very fortunate to be alone and enjoyed the peace and quiet, before the weekend comes. Even though it’s off season, there is a big, men only, golf tournament coming up this weekend and the place will be flooded with renters.
Wednesday, Mr Wonderful took his mother to LL Bean in Mashpee to do some shopping. He’s such a good son. I spent some time reading and blogging. They came home with some lobsters and feasted. Me, I have an allergy to shellfish, so I had a couple of sliders. MMMMMMM!
Every sunset is different, but unfortunately we had a lot of cloud cover.
Thursday was a beautiful day, but we got a late start, so we jumped in and out of the car shooting some photos and racing to the next place. We knew rain was coming in and wanted to get in as much ‘sun” time as possible.
This is one of the few times we did not go whale watching. Each tour is a unique experience and I was sorry we didn’t have time.
One of the first places we hit is Chatham Lighthouse.
Fishing boat coming in to offload its catch at Chatham Fish Pier.
This is the first time I saw shark warning signs, but because of the huge rebound in the seal population, Great Whites like to visit for a yummy meal.
A few seals hang out for a free mealAnother anniversary dinner, this time with all the crew and on their actual anniversay day.
Friday, unfortunately was rainy and cool (I hate being cold). I spent most of the time shooting from the car. 🙁 We hit all of our must haves.
Pilgrims Monument in Provincetown. I love this place, but it was pouring rain, so I didn’t shoot as many photographs as I would have liked.
I have spent many hours on this front porch, though not so much this time.
I’ve also spent many hours at the Sunset House shooting phtographs.A big thumbs up!
I don’t do a lot of the monthly wrapup. I usually do Sunday memes where you can see all I have been sharing in one post. Because I have missed a lot of those too, I am sharing August’s action on fundinmental in one post.
