A HUMAN ELEMENT by Donna Galanti

Book I of The Element Trilogy

This beautiful cover tells me there are some surprises waiting for me to discover them.

Is it alien? Is it supernatural?

I have heard great things about A Human Element from my sister, Laura @ fuonlyknew and I am excited to begin reading.

This glimpse into the story has me curious. How about you?

“It was a spaceship that crash-landed at Coopersville Lake almost thirty years ago. You were right to think so.”

“It cam from the planet named Elyon.”

“How did these beings from Elyon get here Felix? And how is it possible they can reach us?”

“…they’ve discovered how to operate on a non-physical plane, unlike us on Earth.”

SYNOPSIS

Evil comes in many forms…

One by one, Laura Armstrong’s friends and adoptive family members are being murdered, and despite her unique healing powers, she can do nothing to stop it. The savage killer haunts her dreams, tormenting her with the promise that she is next.

Determined to find the killer, she follows her visions to the site of a crashed meteorite in her hometown. There, she meets Ben Fieldstone, who seeks answers about his parents’ death the night the meteorite struck. In a race to stop a madman, they unravel a frightening secret that binds them together.

But the killer’s desire to destroy Laura face-to-face leads to a showdown that puts Laura and Ben’s emotional relationship and Laura’s pure spirit to the test. With the killer closing in, Laura discovers her destiny is linked to his, and she has two choices—redeem him or kill him.

    • No problem. I hope you enjoy the LUX series. It looks very good and I have it on my TBR mountain. LOL Thanks for stopping in and commenting. Have a great weekend.

    • It is a bit ominous. I’m not sure what’s going on, but I aim to find out. lol Thanks Yvonne for stopping in.

      • I’m so thrilled you love the cover! This book was just re-released in July by a new publisher with a new cover and I adore it too. It’s like “oooh” what’s this about, right? Check out the cover of book 2, A Hidden Element, out next week and available now on sale as pre-order.

    • My pleasure Laurel. I haven’t read much, but it has me very curious. Thanks for commenting.

  1. Yes, those teasers do make me curious and leave me wanting to read the book. It’s not my usual type of read, but honestly, if the plot intrigues me I’ll read anything!

    • Laura had told me about this and I thought, oh, another paranormal story. I was needing a little break. Sometimes reading too many of one genre makes them run into each other. I try to stagger genres so the books don’t pay the price. I am like you, if something hits me, I will give anything a shot. ^_^ I think this is really gonna be good.

    • I don’t know why, but I had thought supernatural and paranormal. It never occurred to me it was aliens. I am really curious too.

    • Bea, nice to know I’ve been “bloggo-fied”. 🙂 Hope you enjoy if you do read! This book is a cross-genre mix of horror, suspense, sci-fi and romance – and fun to write. I love to put my characters in dark situations and see if they survive. Heh heh heh.

  2. Sherry, thanks so much for showcasing A Human Element! This book is paranormal suspense with a touch of horror (so don’t let the mention of an alien scare you – ha ha). I like to say it’s murder and mystery with a dash of steam! There is only a spot of sci-fi in it – that’s not the basis so don’t think is a “science fiction” novel because it’s truly not. The villain X-10 is a tormented soul who can kill with his mind and hunts his prey to a battle at the end. But I won’t give any more away except there is an intense love element wound into it. More murder and mystery with steam awaits in book 2 of The Element Trilogy, A Hidden Element, AND it’s out August 28th! You’re all invited to my FB launch party where there will be NY Times bestselling authors stopping in as guests and tons of cool giveaways! Come on over and join the party 🙂

    • I think the alien part is a small part and it is more paranormal. I am not sure what is going on in the book, but I am eager to get further along and find out. I am loving Laura and wondering who is the man in the woods? Have a great weekend yourself, Freda. ^_^

    • My pleasure, Catherine. The book is much different than I thought and it is a very pleasant surprise. To say I am enjoying it, is putting it mildly. ^_^

    • Hi Emma. I love thrillers and this book has me on pins and needles. All I can do is thank Laura for introducing me to Donna.
