Sherry’s Shelves – 11.28 – 12.4.21 @weeklyupdate

Hi Everyone. Well, we went to my mother in law’s for Thanksgiving. There was seven of us and, for the most part, I felt okay about it and had a good time, but in the back of my mind was Covid. Of course, the food was wonderful and the football, hmmm, the Detroit Lions…I love ’em, but I wish they would stand up and roar.

Right now we are watching Alabama vs Georgia. OKlahoma State took a loss and that probably knocked them out of the playoffs. Michigan is #2, after putting a beat down on Ohio State. This is our year to…go…all…the…way…fingers crossed. We play a late game, which is unusual for us, but we have won all the night games we have played this year, so that is just fine.

I don’t know where this year has gone. Do you have any plans for the Christmas holidays? I’m not sure what we will be doing, but I would be happy to stay home.

Sherry’s Shelves – 11.21 – 11.27.21

Hi Everyone. Well, we went to my mother in laws for Thanksgiving. There was good and bad. My lions…lost 14 to 16. The turkey was fantastic! I enjoyed myself, but in the back of my mind was Covid. It hit close to home for the first time. A relative of my husband’s passed away. She was vaccinated, but some of those around her were careless about taking precautions. An unnecessary loss…so…a reminder to everyone…even if you are vaccinated, you are not safe.

College Game Day was in Ann Arbor Michigan…YAY! And….ta da…Michigan prevailed. Ohio State was handed its second loss, courtesy of the Wolverines. It will be fun to see how the final four shapes up on December 5th.

Sherry’s Shelves Wishes You a Happy Mother’s Day 5.2 – 5.8.21 #weeklyupdates

Hi Everyone an Happy Mother’s Day to all you mothers out there. My mother is 90 years young and still going strong. Happy Mother’s Day Mom. You are the best!

I FORGOT TO MENTION IT IS MY SON’S BIRTHDAY TODAY. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEL. IT ONLY COMES EVERY SEVEN YEARS, SO ENOY IT. LOL

My mother was never afraid to take a chance and do something different. She is a wonderful role model and the sweetest person I know. She wanted to parasail for her 80th birthday, but we didn’t make it happen until she was 81. She talked me into doing it tandem style with her and even though I had a video camera with me, I was so terrified I was afraid to move…and this is why:

We have 49 species of shark in the Gulf of Mexico. The most fierce is the bull shark, but we do have a visitor this year. She is hanging about 150 miles off the Galveston, Texas coast. She is a great white and her name is Acadia and she weighs in at 1600 pounds. I have never been afraid of sharks in the Gulf. Its the jellyfish that get me. And, of course we do a dance by the name of Stingray Shuffle. LOL

My topic for discussion is:

If you have something you want to make sure a lot of people see here in Pensacola, come on down and paint it on Graffiti Bridge. I don’t know about you, but I thought this was hilarious. We have been getting half a dozen calls a day about our vehicles extended warranty. How about you?

Hi Everyone. It’s been a quiet week, with sun and rain. The typical Florida weather. We are having a lot of trouble with our grass. I had a couple of health problems over the past three years, so it has not received much attention. Now that Mr Wonderful is no longer working, I have the help I need. Soooo….let’s get outside.

Hi Everyone. We had a wonderful visit from Mr Wonderful’s family, our first visit of anyone in our home since the pandemic began. I was apprehensive, but my fears were unnecessary. Now, it’s time to do some blogging, because it’s been raining for days so no outdoor work to do. Fortunately, we had great weather while they were here. Took them to the beach one day and to see the Blue Angels fly on another. Hope you had a good week.

Sunday Post #431 August

Hi Everyone. I’ve done a lot of blogging this week, because Mr Wonderful was out of town, at his mother’s house. He is due back today, Wednesday. I do enjoy my alone time very much, but that will be ending shortly. Not only is he coming home, but his mother, brother and sister in law will be visiting. I know it sounds terrible, but I am not looking forward to it. It will be nice to see them, but I know the house will be in turmoil. I have only left the house once in I don’t know how long and that was to the pool store. Needed chemicals to get the pool in perfect running condition. I have not been around people in a year and they will be at MY house. I have my fingers crossed for nice weather so we can be outside a lot. Maybe do a cookout or two and laze around the pool. It is refreshing, yet warming up a little day by day. Fingers crossed for nice weather. Hope you have a good week.
